Who we are
Hi there! I’m Tristan, the photographer behind Snapping Turtle Studios. I’m a Western Colorado native and a proud Army veteran who found a passion for photography back in 2019 while stationed in Georgia. What started as a hobby quickly grew into an outlet that let me slow down, be present, and capture meaningful moments.
Since then, I’ve had the chance to photograph all over the country, from the coastlines of Florida to the mountains of North Carolina and, of course, back home here in Colorado. After years of moving around, I’m excited to be back in Western Colorado, where I now serve the Grand Junction area and surrounding communities.
Snapping Turtle Studios is proudly veteran-owned, and I bring the same attention to detail and intentionality I developed in the Army into every shoot. Whether I’m working with high school seniors, growing families, newborns, or even pets, I strive to create a fun, relaxed experience and images you’ll love for years to come.
